Auckland’s Most Affordable Suburbs
The big smoke’s got a lot to offer – plenty of jobs, sporting and music events for Africa, and just a hop, skip and a jump to some of the country’s best beaches. Cheapest suburbs in each Auckland region (as at Oct 17):
Average rent per wk (3 bdrm)
Glen Innes $561
Franklin / Manukau Rural
Pakuranga / Howick
Clendon Park $457
Nationwide, the cheapest area for a 3 bedroom rental property was in Wairoa with an average $195 per week. South Taranaki, Clutha / Southland, Buller, Kawerau, Opotiki, Gore and Central Hawkes Bay all had average rents of around $230 for a 3 bedroom property.
